10 months ago – Fri, Jun 20, 2025 at 10:26:46 AM

If you want to see what Heather and I have been up to:

We’ve been busy stitching the next piece of our dream: Lolly Rose Dolls—plush companions designed to bring comfort and quality back to little hands (and yes, grown-up hearts, too). To share the excitement, we’re giving away five Lolly Rose dolls!

Hi wonderful backers,

While your books make their way through production, we’ve been stitching the next piece of our dream—Lolly Rose Dolls, plush companions created to bring comfort and heirloom quality back to little hands (and, yes, grown-up hearts).

To celebrate, we’re giving away five first-edition dolls—and we’d love for you to join in!

I took a sample Savanna Rose home “for research” and, well… she never left my nightstand (okay, sometimes she ends up in bed). A perfectly plush hug does wonders for the inner child.

How to enter (takes 20 seconds):

Add your name and email—done!

Deadline: July 7, 2025
Winners announced July 8.

Thank you again for supporting our very first steps. One day we hope every Lolly Rose doll will come with a matching mini storybook—turning pages and plush into lasting memories.

Good luck in the giveaway, and may the perfect doll find the perfect home—whether that’s a child’s arms or your own cozy corner.

Sweet dreams & big hugs,
Leigha (and the Lolly Rose team)

First let me lead with gratitude for allowing us to print this wonderful first edition of: Imagine A World!!! We couldn't have done this without you!  And we are so excited to introduce you to another collective art compilation!

We loved the idea so much of connecting creativity from different sources across every page in our Imagine a world book, and we were blessed with the idea to continue this momentum forward, introducing you to our newest book: The Animal World Full of Inspiration.  that we are bringing to pre-life through pre-orders (through 9-25-2024).

The Animal World is filled with fun collective group nouns paired with inspirational words, giving you another work of art through the hearts of many.

Good Things Are Coming--Very Soon!! Ringing in 2023 with Gratitude, Love and Three Wishes
over 3 years ago – Sun, Jan 01, 2023 at 03:49:18 PM

The Books Are Here, The Books are Here!

We wanted to update everyone. Yes- the books, they arrived!! And Leigha has booked her flight to NY for 1/11/23 to come in, sign books, and help assemble all the orders to ship out. So be on the lookout for updates soon. Books will start going out that week! Just a reminder to fill out the survey if you haven't already, or we won't know where to send the books. (If you don't know how to fill out the survey or need help-please contact us.) And in traditional Leigha form, we've also included some goodies and surprises. Among those surprises, a golden bookmark will be hidden in one of the books. Whoever finds it will get the entire Lean/Huggins library of published books.

A quick little fact-originally Imagine A World was titled The Giving World, but Karen, our dear friend (who has edited many of our books), convinced us Imagine A World was much more fitting. After all, the first line of every page began with this phrase. So we put The Giving World to the side as a title for a future book.

Also, in traditional Leigha fashion, she surprised Heather by having one of our illustrators from Imagine (Joana Félix Mink- who did the 'Friendship' page in Imagine) illustrate the first idea concept for The Giving World. We know we're getting a bit ahead, but beautiful art is meant to be shared, and indeed this is a beautiful piece of art.

Fun Fact: did you know a group of moths was called an eclipse? We certainly did not know this! There are so many cool names for groups of animals which would make this a beautiful and fun project, but hopefully, we'll all learn a thing or two as well! The concept for the book would be similar to this first illustration, giving each group of animals its page. Not only would we learn the names of the groups of these animals, but we would get to experience and admire them in all their glory, done through the hands of multiple artists.

Joana chose an eclipse of moths, and she did a stunning job. We hope to bring this concept for The Giving World to life in 2023, you can stay tuned here:

As We Turn the Page To a New Year, Three Wishes:

I know this past year has been quite challenging for some, but hope that 2023 can be a time for healing. I recently saw this beautiful video and had to share it.

 Today I Rise

It does gear itself more to the 'feminine energy,' but believe it is essential that we all come together (both male and feminine energies) to help us navigate these times. There is an interconnectedness on our planet that we all share. Mother Nature can provide us with this balance and healing, and we are all being called on to learn how to tap into that. How will we serve and help each other? How can we connect with all people, nature, and our world?

So closing out this year, rather than making "resolutions" that feel so heavy (making resolutions statistically never seem to work), we're trying something new. We're making wishes for all of us.

What are your three wishes? Feel free to comment in the comment section (we'd love to hear it!)

We'll start: Our Three Wishes For Ourselves & Others

1) We wish to give ourselves more grace (we're not perfect, trust us, we know we mess up quite a bit)...but we're doing the best we can at this moment in time, and we're molding into a better, kinder version of ourselves every day. Perfection is boring anyway.

2) Find our strength and purpose. We may already know our purpose, but when we get knocked off course, we can tap into our strength, and remind ourselves why we are here, navigating this journey. Connecting to our purpose gives us meaning, and we get to immerse ourselves in this beautiful creative process and our call to service.

3) Don't harp on our past. Every day is a chance to start anew. I used to live in "regret city," harping on, 'why I said that', 'did that', and, 'how did I not know better?' But here's the thing. We didn't know better then, but we are learning every day. This goes back to grace of course. But the point is, don't live in regret city. It's an awful place to be.

And while we're at it a "bonus" wish- forgive- EVERYONE. It may be a little woo-woo, but I learned this trick from a Catherine Ponder seminar. You can write down every name of every person who may have hurt you, and when that's all out of your head and heart- and on paper, write or set an intention that you're releasing them with love. If not for them (although it releases them too), then for you. Set your heart free. You deserve it.

We Love You All and Wish you All Beautiful things.

May this new year bring new paths, laughter, friendship, joy, creativity, and inspiration.

With love now and always, Heather & Leigha

An Update to Our Backers- We are 2/3 there...
over 3 years ago – Thu, Dec 01, 2022 at 07:42:35 PM

Hello, Imagine A World beautiful Backers! Heather and I wanted to take a moment and update you on all the ups and downs, the highs and lows… good news and the bad… so in a nutshell, here is the book update:

We ordered the books in the summer, and they began their journey to the East Coast! There are only 500 in the first edition circulation of the double dust covers with a hidden bonus game! So, you never know; you may have a collector's piece, as Heather and I have just started our writing journey. The future is still young.

We have done many extras behind the scenes to make this book and the experience of our first backers better than ever! In some of our bigger packages, we ordered a beautiful gift box and couldn't be more excited about the detail, color, and keepsake it offers! With even more thoughtfulness to come!

So, I heard something the other day that I liked: You can have only two but can pick from the three – You can have quality, speed, or value – which two do you choose? Well, I'm hoping you picked quality and value because we are ready to sign, seal, and deliver those two things, but the speedy part has been met with some port delays. The books arrived at a NY port, but there are delays in getting the pallets off and loaded and shipped to the warehouse, where we are storing and shipping the books out, so if you picked value and quality, excellent! If you want fast, I'm so sorry to disappoint. I dislike making people sad and have been a people pleaser most of my life. I'm just now figuring out how to turn up the volume on my own needs while doing the best I can in the moments I get and let's face it, people pleaser or not, we can all let people down sometimes.

So, we're genuinely sorry for the delay. Heather even offered to swim to the port but was advised against it by our friends at the IAPC, and how would she get all those books off- do you know how heavy 5,000 books are? We're resourceful, but that would be a bit much. Still, everything happens just as it's supposed to, so it may be a better overall experience to delay the excitement of shipping out our books.

I had purchased tickets to NY to meet Heather for the first time! To sign and ship out the books. Yes, we have never met in person… but thanks to our author journey and connection in our author group, we quickly built a friendship and now a book partnership. Heather and I found so much comfort in going through the mayhem of life together, although many miles away, we offered each other so much comfort while trying to balance family, dreams, callings, (oh and just one more task of being an attorney, realtor, and so much more… Heather I'm still in awe of your beauty as you manage the mayhem of life but as we like to joke or maybe we will even be crazy enough to do a podcast someday on the Mayhem to Miracles!)

Never say never, right? You are doing the impossible, and I'm so thankful to have met you. You made my life brighter and lifted me when I needed it the most. So, you can imagine how excited I was to have my Dec 2nd flight booked, to hug this beautiful Heather in person… only to get an update that the books were delayed! Oh, sad day!!! So, we are waiting on updates, but I'm not sure I will be able to make it out before Christmas at this point, but we will keep you posted if anything changes.

Hugs, health, and holiday wishes to you and yours! And we are building the energy on this end – so when it gets to you, it will feel like a big hug in a box.

Thank you again for your support and now your patience.

Anyone who purchased a book package of $40 or more will have the beautiful book box- we're sending you a few sneak pictures here so you can see them.

The back of the Box can be used as a game board!

https://imagine-a-world-full-of-wonder-with-26-illustrators.backerkit.com/hosted_preorders

It has the game on the back and can also be used as a memory vault! We'll also be reconnecting with Artkive again to ensure we get the most updated coupon and discounted price for our Backers. If you want to use the box to send in some artwork your children made and free up some space in your home, Artkive makes an album of the art pieces from your own little Picasso!

Best, Love you lots!
